The legendary Big Green Egg

The heat-insulated base of the grill is made of patented ceramic with a protective glaze layer on the outside and the unmistakable green color. In addition, an air supply valve is built into the base which, together with the rEGGulator, regulates the oxygen supply and also controls the temperature. At the same time, the air supply regulator helps you to easily remove the ash from the EGG. Like the base, the dome-shaped lid is made of patented ceramic with a protective glaze. The ceramic dome can be opened and closed effortlessly using the spring mechanism. Thanks to the insulation and reflection of the ceramic, the hot air circulates in the EGG and ensures first-class grilling results. The dome also has a built-in thermometer to help you keep an eye on the exact temperature at all times. A chimney with the rEGGulator is located on the lid of the EGG. This part of the grill is a cast-iron disk that helps you to precisely control the air flow and temperature.

You can operate it for several hours with very little charcoal and keep it at the desired temperature. Thanks to the heat storage properties of the ceramic walls, the interior of the Big Green Egg provides an even and homogeneous heat that prevents the food from drying out. You can control the temperature effortlessly and precisely from 50 °C to 400 °C using the air inlet slider and the adjustable cast-iron air outlet control. The integrated thermometer allows you to precisely control the temperature.

A true outdoor survivor

The Big Green Egg can be used all year round and left outdoors. The remarkably insensitive special ceramic, which would survive heating up to 1000°C without damage, can also withstand sub-zero temperatures or rapid temperature changes (e.g. due to rain). The manufacturer provides an unlimited guarantee on the ceramic components (except in the case of breakage not caused by temperature). The outer, glazed surface heats up significantly less than a metal grill, which reduces the risk of burns.

Effortless cleaning

Maintenance is also super easy, as the Big Green Egg is virtually self-cleaning. Heat it once to +400°C and the pyrolysis effect will do the rest for you. Only the sparse ash residue needs to be removed after use. The glazed outer shell is very easy to clean and requires little attention.
