The secret of this more traditional dish lies in the fine julienne strips, which look a little different from traditional julienne strips. The blade brings out the flavor of the fine julienne even more, and not just for the carrot salad à la française.
The difference can already be seen when grating with the fine julienne blade. The grated strips of carrots, celery root, zucchinis, apples, pears, potatoes, beet, radishes or cucumbers look a little wider, but finer and thinner than the classic julienne strips and not as wide as the grated result with an extra coarse blade.
The fine julienne strips are ideal for salads, for refining soups or for steaming in a wok. The fruit strips can also be used to decorate desserts.
