Petromax Stoving Paste & Care Paste, 200ml
The Petromax seasoning and care paste, made from natural ingredients, is used to lovingly preserve and care for the pre-treated surface(seasoned finish) of cast-iron Dutch ovens, cast-iron and steel pans, cast-iron grates and cast-iron grill plates. It is also an excellent choice as a seasoning paste for cast iron products that have not been pretreated.
The paste combines protection and care in an ideal way. Its food-safe nature allows for optimum care when applied to the Dutch oven after each cooking process. In this way, the pre-treated surface of the Dutch oven remains in perfect condition. At the same time, the care paste protects the cast iron pot from rusting and prevents food from sticking.
This versatile care paste can also be used as a stoving paste, whether for initial treatment or to refresh cast-iron Dutch ovens and pans. The stoving process with this care paste allows any rust spots to be removed in a targeted manner.
The unique composition of the ingredients is characterized by the fact that, unlike standard cooking oils, it does not become rancid. This ensures a considerable shelf life of up to 7 years, which means that the Dutch oven can be maintained without any problems even if it is stored for long periods.
In addition, the regular use of the food-safe care paste creates a high-quality patina over time. This patina not only contributes to the quality of the cast-iron Dutch oven, but also optimizes its cooking and frying properties.
Ingredients
Made from pure natural products, food-safe, vegan, gluten-free, Paraffinum subliquidum Ph. Eur., native oil components, triglyceride oils, base oil mixture with ionic liquid, color and weight additives.
Application
Apply a thin layer with a cloth to all areas to be treated.
Before the next use, heat the cast iron & steel products until they no longer smoke.
Apply regularly before and after use.
Store in a dark, cool and closed place.
