Our Kala Namak salt is used as a spice in Indian cuisine. Salsoa Stocksi are boiled with salt to produce it. This takes on the taste and color.
The high proportion of hydrogen sulphide and iron gives our kala namak salt its deceptive yet special aroma, similar to that of eggs.
Kala namak or black salt gives food a sulphurous taste. In India, this is particularly desirable in fruit salads, chutneys, chaats or the popular raitas. Indian seasoning salt is particularly recommended with vegetables and exotic fruits, but also with fish. The salt also gives fruit juice drinks or long drinks an extraordinary taste.
