Origin
Garlic is one of the oldest spices and cultivated plants and is highly valued worldwide. Especially in the Mediterranean region, there are many recipes for garlic-based sauces, e.g. the Spanish aioli and the French rouille. In principle, hardly any Italian pasta can do without a more or less large addition of this dominant, aromatic spice.
In Thailand and India, it is practically a main ingredient in most curries or masallas. It is also regularly used in the Orient for vegetable pastes, stews and casseroles.
How to use
Use the garlic granules in roughly the same quantity as dried cloves. One "level" teaspoon is roughly equivalent to one clove of garlic.
Flavor
Granulated garlic has the typical strong garlic flavor and is easy to dose and store. Garlic granules are a very popular spice; in their raw form, they have a biting pungency and an intense aroma. Dried garlic granules are somewhat milder. Garlic granules are therefore a good choice when cooking for children, as they often don't want to bite into whole garlic. If you use granulated garlic, you can easily refine dips and dressings and, of course, it is also ideal for preparing sauces or other hot dishes.
The garlic granules consist of pure garlic. No flavor enhancers, aromas or other additives are used. It also contains no added sugar or salt.
