The Broil King Baron 490 IR Shadow not only impresses with its stunning appearance, but also with its outstanding technical features. With a back burner, a rotating spit including motor and an infrared burner, it offers a variety of cooking options at the highest level. The powerful Dual Tube stainless steel burners, each with 2.85 kW, are integrated in a high-quality Therma Cast cast aluminum burner tray. The combination of Dual Tube burners and closed cast aluminum tray not only enables particularly high temperatures, but also even heat distribution without hot spots.

The burners are protected by Flav-R-Wave flame guards, a vaporization system developed by Broil King. This system effectively prevents grease fires by protecting flames from dripping liquids. At the same time, it ensures that dripping fat, marinade and meat juices evaporate on the hot trays and stick back to the food. This preserves the full aroma and gives the food additional flavor.

The grilling surface made of solid matt enameled cast iron grates not only offers sharp brandings, but also perfect heat distribution. There is a practical warming rack above the main grilling surface, on which food that has already been cooked can be kept warm. This second level also allows you to prepare a variety of culinary delicacies, while juicy steaks are roasted on the lower level.

The spit roast burner or rear burner is located at the back of the grilling surface and conjures up crispy chicken and delicious spit roasts. The horizontal baking burner ensures that the rotating food on the spit is browned evenly on all sides. The rotisserie spit including motor is already included in the scope of delivery.

A special highlight of the Baron 490 IR Shadow is the infrared side burner integrated in the side shelf. This high-temperature ceramic burner generates extremely high temperatures and is particularly suitable for steak lovers. The infrared burner can also be set to lower temperatures for use with pots, pans and woks.

The features are rounded off by the Sure Lite electric ignition, which makes it easy to start at the touch of a button. A lid thermometer integrated in the lid makes it easy to read the cooking cabinet temperature. To ensure that the grill master can keep an overview even in the dark, the control knobs are equipped with a control knob light that can be activated at the touch of a button.

For grill masters with limited space, both side shelves of the Baron 490 can be folded down. When the shelves are not needed, they can be folded down with a flick of the wrist to effectively reduce the width of the barbecue station. The Broil King Baron 490 IR Shadow is therefore a well thought-out and convenient barbecue for discerning barbecue fans.
