The Limited Lifetime Warranty is a limited lifetime warranty from Grillgoods on all stainless steel components from "Otto Wilde" & accessories from "Babossa-BBQ "

As the manufacturer "Otto Wilde" has discontinued its lifetime warranty and now "only" offers a 2-year manufacturer's warranty, we at Grillgoods have decided to issue a dealer warranty. This is valid for all components listed in the warranty conditions at www.grillgoods.de.

The following warranty and guarantee conditions only apply unless Grillgoods has made a different arrangement in writing with the customer outside of these conditions.

WARRANTY

Grillgoods shall be liable for material defects or defects of title of delivered articles in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions, in particular §§ 434 ff. BGB. The limitation period for statutory claims for defects is two years and begins with the delivery of the goods. Grillgoods shall only be liable for properties of the product specified by the customer within the scope of his order if Grillgoods has expressly assured these in writing.

Reasonable technical and design deviations from the information in brochures, catalogs and written documents, as well as model, design and material changes in the course of technical progress and further development shall not constitute a defect in performance or in the product.

WARRANTY

Any warranties given by Grillgoods for certain articles grant the customer additional rights that go beyond the statutory warranty regulations.

The warranty period and DOA provisions (defined below) of the individual products are communicated on the Grillgoods website at www.grillgoods.de or can be requested by telephone from Grillgoods during telephone consultation hours. Details of the scope of such warranties can also be found in the warranty conditions enclosed with the products.

Warranty claim

Warranty claims must be asserted by the customer against Grillgoods in writing immediately after their discovery, but at the latest within 2 months, by sending the proof of purchase as well as photos or videos showing the defect. All warranty claims against Grillgoods shall be excluded after the expiry of the period of 2 months (complaint period). For obvious, recognizable and open defects, this complaint period begins upon receipt of the product. The customer is obliged to check the product for defects immediately upon receipt. In the case of hidden defects, the complaint period shall commence upon discovery of the defect.

If the customer is an entrepreneur (B2B), the customer must return a product that does not work/ cannot be used after purchase (Dead on Arrival, "DOA") within 10 working days, presenting the corresponding sales receipt. After this period of 10 days from the date of purchase, the product will no longer be exchanged but repaired. This does not apply to brands and products for which the DOA provisions are excluded.

If the customer is a consumer (B2C), the DOA provision does not apply, as the presumption of § 477 BGB applies in the customer's favor. According to this, it is presumed in favor of the customer that a material defect that occurs within six (6) months of the transfer of risk of the product already existed at the time of the transfer of risk, unless this presumption is incompatible with the nature of the item or the defect.

Warranty cases and scope

The warranty is valid from the date of purchase and is granted in the following cases, provided no exclusion applies:

Lifetime warranty (25 years) on stainless steel burners*
Lifetime warranty (25 years) on all stainless steel parts with the exception of burner covers*
12-year warranty on burner covers / flame protection plates*
12 years on die-cast aluminum parts*
12 years on stainless steelgrill grates*
12 years on ceramic burners*
2 years on all other manufacturing / material defects
*only applies to rusting / burning through for the Otto Wilde and Babossa-BBQ brands. Surface rust or discoloration are not covered by the warranty. If there are holes in the components due to a material defect or normal wear and tear, the guarantee will apply. The guarantee does not apply in the event of fault or unrestricted function. In the event of problems with the use of the components, such as difficulties with ignition, the guarantee does not apply if the affected component is intact. Only applies to the original purchaser and the "lifetime" warranty is defined as 25 years.

Any unevenness, differences in the color of the steel or minor defects such as production-related contact points on the lower edge of the lid or on the suspensions are not considered defects for the function of the product. Reasonable technical and design deviations from the information in brochures, catalogs and written documents, as well as model, design and material changes in the course of technical progress and further development also do not constitute a defect in performance or in the product and therefore do not constitute a warranty claim.

In the event of a justified warranty claim, Grillgoods shall decide at its own discretion whether to repair or replace the damaged or defective parts or to replace the product altogether. In the event of a replacement, Grillgoods shall be entitled, at its own discretion, to offer the customer a comparable model from Grillgoods, e.g. in exchange for a successor model. If the functionality of the product is not impaired by a defect, the customer may also be offered appropriate financial compensation instead of repair or replacement.

The warranty is in any case limited to the value of the purchase price of the product purchased by the customer.

Exclusion of warranty

The warranty is excluded in the following cases:

Consumables, such as lamps, batteries, packaging, etc. (e.g. but not exhaustive list)
Defects, faults and deterioration in condition caused by accident, incorrect use, failure to observe the operating instructions, failure to tighten the screw connection hose & regulator to the grill incl. leak test. Failure to observe and/or comply with the warning notices;
Grease fire;
Environmental influences and extreme weather conditions/force majeure (hail, lightning strikes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, storm surges, tornadoes, severe storms, acid rain and others);
Exposure to salty air and/or chlorine sources such as swimming pools and whirlpools.e.g. swimming pools and whirlpools.
improper alteration;
misuse;
vandalism/willful damage;
incorrect installation;
negligence;
failure to care for the product/failure to carry out regular maintenance;
soiling and damage caused by insects or spiders (e.g. burner pipes); burner tubes);
Damage caused by rodents or martens (hoses and other parts);
Damage caused by wear and tear;
Normal wear and tear during normal use, in particular to general wear parts such as flame protection plates, burner, thermometer, ignition and battery, electrode, ignition cable, gas hose, gas pressure regulator, heating element, reflector, aluminum protective foil, grill or charcoal grate and tray, ignition grate as well as the grease drip tray and charcoal tray;
scratches;
dents;
paint damage;
coatings;
corrosion and superficial rust formation;
discoloration caused by heat;
Damage caused by abrasive and chemical cleaning agents;
Defects and/or damage caused by interventions or repairs carried out by service technicians not authorized by OTTO WILDE or by the installation of spare parts from other manufacturers;
Defects and/or damage caused during transport to the buyer, unless the transport was arranged by the guarantor;
Defects and/or damage due to wear and tear caused by professional use for commercial purposes (e.g. use in the hotel industry or for commercial purposes).use in the hotel or catering industry).
The warranty cases and exclusions of liability specified in this warranty agreement are exhaustive. Grillgoods undertakes in no case to provide any warranty, guarantee or liability over and above this warranty agreement, apart from any existing statutory claims of the customer in the event of a material defect.

Warranty processing

In the event of a warranty claim, the customer must contact Grillgoods immediately. The customer must provide the following information and submit supporting documents with his warranty claim:

Purchase receipt;
Product name with serial and article number (to be found on the data sticker attached to the product);
Address of the customer;
Description of the defect.
For the duration of the warranty processing (inspection and possible repair/replacement/exchange), there is no claim against Grillgoods for a replacement product or other compensation. The performance of warranty services shall neither extend nor restart the warranty period. Replaced parts shall become the property of Grillgoods.

The customer shall be responsible for transportation to Grillgoods in Germany (see www.grillgoods.de) and shall also bear the costs incurred. Returns from Grillgoods are only made to addresses within Germany. In the case of justified warranty claims, Grillgoods shall reimburse the necessary and required transportation and shipping costs. In the case of unjustified warranty claims, the customer shall bear the full costs of the expenditure.

Information on shipping and assembly

From a purchase value of 149 € your barbecue will be delivered free of charge. (Delivery to kerbside)

The Grillgoods FREE barbecue assembly incl. delivery* Free barbecue delivery by forwarding agent, without exception. We always deliver every barbecue free of charge (delivery to kerbside). Simply order online or request delivery by a forwarding agent in the store.

We can also deliver the barbecue assembled on request. Please note the following:

*Valid for any barbecue that is NOT reduced. Excluding grills and modules of the brand "Otto Wilde" and "Flammkraft". Valid within a radius of 30km (driving distance) from the grill store. Further journeys (by arrangement only) will be charged at the service technician's hourly rate and at a flat rate per kilometer.

Reduced grills/modules can be assembled and delivered for a fee of 149€ per grill/module. This delivery also takes place within a radius of up to 15 km (driving distance). Longer distances (by arrangement only) will be charged extra according to the hourly rate and kilometer flat rate.

On site, the assembled barbecue will be brought to the desired parking space (subject to compliance with the conditions) IF the route is suitable. The doors and gates must allow the width of the barbecue + >2cm clearance. The ground must be passable. Steps must be agreed in advance. Obstacles that have not been agreed or removed will result in immediate termination of the delivery. Further transportation from the obstacle point is the responsibility of the purchaser. Our part of the purchase contract is then deemed to have been fulfilled. Withdrawal for these reasons is not possible. An exchange within the scope of the 14-day right of return can only be made against a reduction in value of the already assembled grill/module. The customer is responsible for the return shipment.

On arrival at the place of delivery, the barbecue will be set up (in accordance with the rules) at the location requested by the customer.

The service technician is not permitted to connect the gas cylinder or a connection to natural gas or electricity for insurance reasons. We take our service philosophy very seriously. We provide a brief explanation of the appliance and how to use it safely (instruction). We will be happy to answer any questions within the delivery time frame. If the delivery time is extended due to lengthy questions and requests from the customer, the working time of the service technicians will be charged at the hourly rate.

Damage, such as scratches and the like on the grill/module, which go beyond the expected traces caused by assembly or during delivery will be replaced. Expected scratches and similar during assembly and delivery, as well as due to difficult conditions at the place of delivery, will not be replaced.

Cannot be combined with other promotions. The application of discount promotions leads to the exclusion of free assembly and delivery. We are of course still happy to set up reduced grills/modules or grills in a savings bundle for our customers against payment of the fee of 149€ per grill/module.hourly rate
